Triple Point Resources is working on a made-in-Newfoundland solution to help the province build reliable and affordable clean energy. Storage is the piece that makes renewables practical. By creating caverns within the natural Fischells Salt Dome in Bay St. George, we can store energy as compressed air and, in time, hydrogen. This lets wind power be used when itis needed, not only when the wind is blowing.

The Fischells Salt Dome is the only proven salt formation on the East Coast of North America that can support large-scale clean energy storage.

Its location in one of the world’s strongest wind corridors gives our region areal advantage as the clean energy economy grows. Storage reduces curtailment,improves reliability and helps keep long-term energy costs down for homes andindustry.

We are committed to carrying out this work in a responsible way that respects the land, water and surrounding communities. Our plans include water reuse, heat recovery and the use of salt by-products to cut waste and keep more economic benefits in the region.
